“We’ve just enjoyed the most wonderful holiday in the Scottish Borders, and the icing on the cake was our stay at Castleview Holiday Lodges near the lovely little Scottish town of Lauder. Even on the very best of holidays, there’s always some little thing missing, but not at Castleview! It was a dream come true – from the spectacular views over lovely farmland; deer roaming in emerald fields but not daring to venture onto the golf course, waking up to a pheasant strolling over the decking outside our bedroom window and the hoot of an owl at night as you snuggle down into luxurious bedding – life just doesn’t get any better.
The inside of the Lodge was flawless; tastefully furnished and spotlessly clean. Our every need was catered for but combined with a homely, easy-going atmosphere from a soak in the hot tub to the cosiness of the log burner. Every effort had been made by the Owners to ensure we had totally escaped from the hassle of everyday life, and we simply didn’t want to ever leave. But if you can drag yourself away, there is also much to do in the surrounding countryside with a camera in hand and walking boots on, followed by a lovely meal in Lauder’s Black Bull or a stroll through Melrose and its independent shops! Castleview are not just any lodges; they are a little piece of heaven, and special thanks are due to Lynda who so successfully turned a dream into reality and makes every effort to ensure you’ll come back again and again.”
